Senior Services
Cotati offers a wide variety of programs and events for all ages. Additional programs for Seniors are listed below.
Cotati Seniors are invited to participate in center activities and programs.
The Senior Center is located at 6800 Hunter Drive, Suite A in Rohnert Park. They can be contacted at 707-585-6780. Hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The Santa Rosa Junior College Lifelong Learning Program, formerly known as the Older Adults Program, started in 1968, offering free, noncredit courses designed specifically for active adults as part of our commitment to lifelong learning.
The Lifelong Learning Program provides opportunities for personal growth and development, group interaction, mental stimulation, and physical activity. The programs have no minimum age requirement, though courses are tailored toward older adults.

Get moving at your own pace. Zumba Gold is a Latin dance inspired fitness class that is specially modified for the beginner or the active, older adult. We'll get your whole body moving with low-impact, easy-to-follow steps set to international dance music. Zumba Gold is a fun cardio workout that also incorporates toning and balance. Please wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing. Please bring your own water.

This low-impact class offers total body strengthening and balance work for all abilities! With a focus on functional movement, these standing & seated exercises are designed to prepare & train your body for activities of daily living. This class will improve your overall strength, coordination and reduce fall risk! Please bring a set of light hand weights & water. Class is designed for participants ages 55+.
The goal of this class is to make fitness fun and approachable for all active agers! Prioritizing strength training, specially lower body strength, is so crucial for older adults to maintain functional independence, preserve mobility, and increase fall prevention.

Many seniors in our community are living on low-fixed-incomes, making unthinkable choices about how to stretch limited budgets, often sacrificing food in order to pay for rising health care and housing costs. The Redwood Empire Food Bank ensures that 15,600 low-income seniors living in Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties have access to a consistent source of healthy, fresh food, supporting vitality and independence.
For local residents food can be picked up on Friday's 11:00am - 12:00pm at St. Joseph Church located at 150 St. Joseph Way, Cotati.

Legal Aid of Sonoma County has helped people in times of crisis. We serve financially challenged families and children, youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, employees, veterans, immigrants and victims of domestic violence. When facing legal proceedings, vulnerable residents turn to us for help–often when there is nowhere else to turn. We assist with civil legal issues like eviction, domestic violence, elder abuse, disaster relief and many more.

Sunshine Bus
The Sunshine Bus program provides transportation service using a mini-bus. Rides are available in the mornings for our seniors residing in Rohnert Park, Cotati, and Penngrove on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for medical appointments, shopping or other personal needs. On Thursday mornings, we go to Santa Rosa for medical, DMV or Social Security only. To schedule a ride, call 707-585-6780 between 9am and Noon, Monday-Friday, at least one day and up to a week in advance. Cost is $7 per round trip for Rohnert Park appointments and $10 for trips to Santa Rosa. There are requirements to participate in the ride program call 707-585-6780 for more information.
iRide
Starting April 19, 2025 Petaluma People Services will be launching iRIDE in the Rohnert Park/Cotati area! The volunteer ride program is open to residents 60 and older and is FREE of charge. Please contact PPSC to learn more about volunteering as a driver or enrolling as a rider. 707-765-8488x429.
Aging Well Together provides over 300 seniors with Case Management Services, over 10,000 telephone callers with information and referral services, 35 seniors with Alzheimer’s respite care through our Adult Day Respite program and over 42,000 meals for seniors in need of nutritional services through our Home Delivered Meal and our Café 211.
